James Holman
Hello Boosters,
I'm a cinematographer and director based in Queenstown, New Zealand. My experience is far and wide having shot projects on every continent. I predominantly work on branded content and more recently reality television shows.
My passion however, is skateboarding as a tool for change, creating youth agency and community. I will always be drawn back to skateboarding as it was where I learnt the skills to make films; I've made three films documenting the skateboard scene in Myanmar from 2009 to 2016 and Barika Rising is my latest documentary. With the help of the boosted community I will be able to return to Iraq in October to finish Barika Rising, a film about the impact skateboarding can have in a refugee camp.
