Matari'i i Ni'a Celebration
We're heading to Tahiti, Raʻiātea, and Moʻorea from November 20th to December 3rd, 2025, to celebrate the Matariʻi i niʻa — the sacred season of abundance — with an immersive cultural experience. This isn’t just a trip; it’s a meaningful return to Taputapuātea, the birthplace of Polynesian civilization, and a chance to reconnect with our roots and stories. We’ll also witness the rising of the Pleiades, kicking off the season of abundance, and celebrate what might soon become an official Māʻohi holiday. It’s a rare opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with the Māʻohi people, their land, and other Polynesians from across the ocean. Additionally, we’ll be performing at the second Siva Afi Tahiti Competition, sharing our culture and passion. We’d love your support to make this cultural journey happen. Together, we can celebrate and keep our heritage alive for generations to come.

Planning your content
A crowdfunding campaign needs a ton of content. For the 30 or so days of funding, you’ll be coaxing, cajoling and flirting with your crowd, asking for money, and you’ve got to come up with a fresh way to ask every day. You’ve got to keep it interesting, enticing and exciting.31 Aug 2024 -

Mapping your crowd
Crowdfunding is not about you. It’s about the community around what you do. Your crowd. And there’s a difference between your audience and your crowd. Your crowd are the people personally, financially, and emotionally invested in you successfully completing your art project. They’re with you for the journey. They’re with you for your career.31 Aug 2024 -

Running events
Events can raise awareness of your campaign, raise money, reward your core crowd and create opportunities for media coverage. But they can be time-consuming to organise, so if you can piggyback on existing events where you can make an ask, or have a supporter ask for you, even better.04 Sept 2024
