Sapati Apa-Fepulea'i
Pati AF (formerly known as Disciple Pati), is bound to keep you on your toes. A daring stage performer, an eye for the theatrical, and willingness to experiment have made her a small, but grounded presence in Aotearoa’s music scene. As Disciple Pati, she enjoyed much success, including a Pacific Music Award in 2020 for Best Pacific Music Video The Boy Who Cried Woman, and sporadically released electronic singles Essence, before diving into Pop RnB Serious.
Stepping back onto the block in 2023, with a new name, ruder attitude, and a bouncy producer (Auto Angel), Pati AF released a string of singles including ‘Run and Hide’, ‘Be My All’, and ‘Acceptance’. Marking each release with a show, she solidified her bad-girl persona onstage, and gathered a small but loyal audience - rewarding them with larger-than-life performances and events produced by mandascu (Amanda Wilson), and backed by The Astronauts. Her mixtape, “Ka’a”, meaning ‘little shit’ in Samoan, is set to be released in June 2024, and tells the full story behind her party girl persona, the good, the bad and the ugly. One thing her audience has learned quickly is to release expectations - because you never know what Pati AF is going to do next.
