The Think Coromandel Gig Guide is a grassroots project dedicated to freely promoting all of the events that happen on the Coromandel Peninsula. We've just started our fourth season, and due to lockdowns causing gig reschedules, we've moved from physical print editions into digital. We hope to bring back our print editions when things are more stable, in the mean time we plan to produce a summer zine for our tactile based audience, that will complement our online Gig Guide.
The Gig Guide has evolved over time, including re-branding in February 2019, moving from black & white and into colour not long after and hosting some epic, memorable events in our community like THINK 01, THINK FEST, and most recently collaborating with like-minded organisations to help bring popular NZ musicians to our region.
We get by with a little (actually a lot of) help from our friends, and are eternally grateful to everyone who lends a hand to get the Gig Guide out to you and keep it free of charge.

Arts in the MediaJoshua Prendeville: Building an Audience on Boosted
Accomplished Filmmaker Joshua Prendeville first came to Boosted in order to help with funding his 2024 Film 'The House Within,' documenting the life and work of 2026 Katherine Mansfield Menton Fellow Dame Fiona Kidman. Since then he has gone on to direct an adaptation of Katherine Mansfield's 'The Garden Party,' that was also funded in part through Boosted. His latest project is 'Earthly Shadows,' a short film adaptation of the award-winning story by Fiona Kidman. For Joshua, Boosted has become a more than just a funding avenue, it's a way to bring his audience onboard at the start of a film's journey and bring that crowd along with him. Joshua was kind enough to share with us his experiences and lessons learned from growing his audience on Boosted, and how he aims to bring them on a journey with his latest project, 'Earthly Shadows.'18 May 2026 -
