Maria Philp
Hi there! My name is Maria Philp and I am an artist/graphic designer/photographer (Jack of all trades and master of none) based in Auckland, New Zealand.
Last year I was fortunate enough to be chosen as an exhibiting artist during the Onehunga Art Festival. Since then I had been scheduled to exhibit a photography series in the Fiji Islands, at the Waisiliva Art Gallery. Unfortunately the exhibition was cancelled due to COVID-19.
I originally hail from both the Fiji Islands and Samoa and take most of my inspiration from my experiences growing up in these countries.
