Save Our Venues NZ is a group of passionate people from the New Zealand music scene, coming together to raise funds and awareness for local live music venues across Aotearoa.

With help from Boosted LIVE #SAVEOURVENUES have created a national, ‘pay it forward’ fundraising strategy. The campaign is to help raise money for dozens of crucial, small live music venues across Aotearoa this New Zealand Music Month. Check out the campaigns of all your favourite venues - Donate and Share to help support these essential community spaces.

How it works:

Dozens of campaigns over music month will go ahead, and each with a $1000 koha from Arts Foundation Future Fund, plus 5% of their Boosted campaign target, donated back to them. Each venue will nominate another venue to kick off their very own Boosted campaign, with their very own seed fund to get them started.

We are aiming to help venues get back on their feet, survive and thrive and with your help we can make it.

Our Mission:

Save Our Venues overall mission is to firstly help in an urgent, grassroots series of campaigns to raise money for our country’s smaller live music venues that make up a crucial national touring circuit, and provide vital community hubs for local music lovers.

Secondly, we exist to listen to what music venues are telling us they need moving forward, and to advocate for them with government, council, and decision making figures in the music industry.
