October 2022 was the month of the Moana on Boosted. Twenty Pasifika projects crowdfunded with the support of Creative New Zealand as part of the Boosted X Moana initiative. These projects were live for funding from 20 October until 17 November. See the Boosted X Moana projects here.

Remember, not everyone you ask to give will give, so even a modest crowdfunding campaign aiming to raise a few thousand dollars requires getting in front of thousands of people.
Unless you’re famous in your own right or have strong social influence, it’s unlikely you’ve got immediate access to a network of this size. Here’s where PR comes to the party.

Social media fuels discovery and discussion. “Saw it on the gram” is the new word of mouth. Encourage your social networks to inspire a wider group of givers by giving them content worth sharing.
