I'm very happy to support New Zealand-made films by and about women, on Twitter and Facebook, and in my blogs. And here at Boosted, in a very small way, because I like the idea that if lots of people donate small amounts to projects they like we'll get some great new movies (etc!).
My Development project is For Women Who Make Movies; & For The People Who Love Them. Globally. I also ran #directedbywomen #aotearoa, an annual pop-up programme of films + Q&As, in its third year in 2020.
The most useful interview about my work is here, on Indiewire.
(I'm also intermittently a publisher with the Spiral Collectives, most recently for This Joyous, Chaotic Place: He Waiata Tangi-Ā-Tahu, a CNZ-funded multi-media project celebrating Heather McPherson (1942-2017), poet, lesbian feminist, activist and single mother. And three eBooks: Heather's i do not cede, edited by Emer Lyons; Keri Hulme: Our Kuru Pounamu; and Women's Film Festivals & #womeninfilm Databases. And I assess and sometimes write screenplays.)

Setting your target
Before you start planning your crowdfunding campaign you need to know a few important things, like... · What’s my funding target?· How many people do I need to give?· How many people do I need to ask to give?· How often should I ask them?· How long should my campaign be?· When should I run my campaign?
