Alex Monteith: Accelerated Geographies — 28.02.13

The Govett-Brewster Art Gallery's most recent publication "Alex Monteith: Accelerated Geographies" was launched at the preview of Alex Monteith's exhibition "Temporary Mechanisms at Gow Langsford Gallery" on Tuesday 26 February.

Along with commissioned essays by Sean Cubitt, Danny Butt, Jan Bryant and Rhana Devenport, the 204-page monograph includes projects primarily emerging from the major all-gallery exhibition Alex Monteith: Accelerated Geographies at the Govett-Brewster in 2010. With more than 120 full colour images, the book also has an A3 insert poster from the Chartwell Red Session Expression Session at Taranaki.

Alex Monteith is the recipient of an Arts Foundation New Generation Award.  The Govett-Brewster Art Gallery is the recipient of an Arts Foundation's Governors Award.
