Arts Matter – The Evidence Video

The evidence is in! In collaboration with our friends at Chartwell Trust (the greatest arts advocates ever) we’ve distilled the global research that proves the value of art and creativity into this short video. Arm yourselves with the facts, and spread the word!

Spoiler alert:

  • Arts rich schools have better results in numeracy and literacy
  • 82% of parents say being creative makes them feel ‘good’ or ‘excellent’
  • People in Aotearoa are feeling more positive about the arts than ever before
  • + So much more

Special thanks to Professor Peter O’Connor and The Centre for Arts and Social Transformation (CAST) team for their mahi in bringing together this research, and McCarthy Design for translating it so beautifully.

Since 1974, Chartwell Trust have been on a mission has been to understand, support, demonstrate and articulate the value and impact of creative visual experiences. Find out more about their amazing work here.
