New Zealand Arts Month 2019 | WIN a Trip for Four to Singapore

All about it

To celebrate the inaugural year of New Zealand Arts Month, the Arts Foundation is sending a party of four to Singapore – a cultural melting pot of mind-blowing cuisine, creativity, and some of the best shopping spots to boot. Did we mention summer temperatures year ’round? It’s all happening in the name of art, thanks to Singapore Airlines.

This September, New Zealanders from Kaitaia to Bluff are coming together to kōrero (converse) around what ‘art is’ to Aotearoa. Arts Month aims to bring arts up on the national agenda and map out Aotearoa’s own definition of art, while also acknowledging the arts and creativity as a valuable medium for a greater sense of wellbeing and connectedness in our communities. What's up for grabs?

One winner will take away: 4x Economy Class return flights to Singapore, flying Singapore Airlines. Neat, huh?

You'll be staying at Rendezvous Hotel Singapore (2 Rooms) for x1 night including breakfast PLUS score the 2nd and 3rd night at very special rate of S$200.00nett per room per night with breakfast as provided by FarEast Hospitality.


How to enter

Share what ‘art is’ to you on your Facebook, Instagram or Twitter accounts using the hashtag #ArtsMonthNZ. More accounts, more entries!

You can:

  • Share your ‘art is’ definition direct to your social media accounts from our online tool. (All the joys of Microsoft Paint, plus a little 2019 digital magic
  • Pose with a printed version of what ‘art is’ to you. (Download one here)
  • Share a short video explaining what ‘art is’ to you.
  • Document your experience at an Arts Month event. (Find an event near you here)
  • Find a Phantom Billsticker street poster to illustrate and photograph.
  • Take a selfie with the Arts Foundation's Selfie Station at Tūranga Library in Christchurch and complete the entry form.

Terms & Conditions

  1. All entries must be received between 9:00am September 1, 2019 and 11:59pm September 30, 2019.
  2. To enter, entrants must share what ‘art is’ to them on their Facebook, Instagram or Twitter accounts using the hashtag #ArtsMonthNZ. OR, take a selfie with the Arts Foundation's Selfie Station at Tūranga Library in Christchurch and complete the entry form.
  3. The following people are excluded from entering: (a) All Arts Foundation employees, all employees of participating promoters and/or advertising agencies and their immediate families.
  4. Entrants may submit as many entries as they wish but no entrant may win more than one prize.
  5. One winner will be randomly drawn by the Arts Foundation.
  6. The prize consists of 4x Economy Class return flights from Auckland, Christchurch or Wellington to Singapore flying Singapore Airlines (for travel departing during the period between 01 November 2019 to 01 November 2020), staying at Rendezvous Hotel Singapore (2 Rooms) for x1 night including breakfast and 2nd and 3rd night at special rate of S$200.00nett per room per night with breakfast as provided by FarEast Hospitality.
  7. The prize is subject to availability. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Arts Foundation reserves the right (a) to substitute alternative prizes of equivalent or greater value and (b) in exceptional circumstances to amend or foreclose the promotion without notice. No correspondence will be entered into.
  8. The prize is non-transferable and non-refundable.
  9. The winner will be announced and notified the month following the closure of the giveaway. The winner must claim their prize within 30 days of the Arts Foundation sending notification. If the prize is unclaimed after this time, it will lapse and the Arts Foundation reserves the right to offer the unclaimed prize to a substitute winner selected in accordance with the rules. The Arts Foundation’s decision is final.
  10. The Arts Foundation will manage this giveaway.
  11. This giveaway is open to New Zealand residents only.
  12. By entering this giveaway, you agree to be providing imagery and content to the Arts Foundation.
  13. By submitting an entry, each entrant grants the Arts Foundation a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to edit, publish, translate, modify, adapt, make available and distribute the entry throughout the world in any media known or hereafter invented.
  14. Each entrant confirms that anyone depicted in an entry has given their permission for the inclusion of their image in the entry and the use of the entry including their image by the entrant and the Arts Foundation.
  15. By entering this giveaway, you are agreeing that the Arts Foundation may publish your entry in full, or part, and edited as they see fit, in their promotional material, across their social media channels, and on their websites.
