Bookmark May in your calendars, because we’re inviting New Zealanders across the country the chance to gather round the table and back the arts in May. May is always our biggest fundraising moment of the year – but in 2024, we’re levelling up!

Details and tickets will be launching February 2024, but for now, just know that there are three ways to get involved….

The Arts Gala

Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland – 31st May | Ōtautahi Christchurch – 24th May

A variety show like you’ve never seen it before. Join us for dinner, celebrations and extraordinary performances from some of our most outstanding artists. All to be revealed soon – if you’d like to reserve a table, email us and we’ll put you on the list.

DIY Dinners

Purchase one of four DIY Dinner Packs designed by some of New Zealand’s greatest artists, and host a creative dinner party in your home. Packs will be on sale February 2024, with dinners taking place across the country in May.

The Arts Foundation Digital Auction

Bid on a selection of curated items, and back the arts in the process. Our annual Digital Auction returns, bringing together some of the country’s greatest hospitality experts, artists, creative businesses, and like-minded people to create an auction of epic proportions.

All proceeds from The May Mixer will help us on our mission:

• To champion and financially support NZ’s artists
• To make creative news everyday news
• To make our annual Laureate Awards as big a cultural moment as the launch of the All Black’s team!
• To get the arts on the national agenda (and ensure ALL New Zealander’s know the arts and creativity are for them).
