Explore Auckland’s different precincts of fine contemporary dealer art galleries. Each week join the group of excited art lovers to discover a different cluster of galleries. With ever changing exhibitions of emerging, mid-career and established artists we are thrilled to discover new artistic expressions. We are introduced to the gallery, gallerist, the exhibition and sometimes we are lucky to get to talk with an artist.
You'll walk with ‘TJ’ Terry McNamara MNZM, one of New Zealand’s most well-known and knowledgeable art commentators. Having written for NZ Herald for over 50 years, he freely shares his extensive knowledge, with a wry sense of humour. When TJ is not available, Assoc Prof Linda Tyler, Director of the Centre for Art Studies at The University of Auckland, University of Auckland Art Collection Manager, is available to generously share her extensive knowledge.
