In October 2014, Holly Mathieson takes up one of Europe's most coveted professional conducting fellowships, when she becomes one of two Leverhulme Conducting Fellows at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

In October 2014, Holly Mathieson takes up one of Europe's most coveted professional conducting fellowships, when she becomes one of two Leverhulme Conducting Fellows at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. The post includes mentoring from Scotland's preeminent conductors, and includes assisting and performance opportunities at BBCScottish Symphony, Scottish National Opera and Red Note Ensemble.

Holly Mathieson holds a BMus(hons) in composition, conducting and analysis from Otago University, an MMus in orchestra conducting from the University of Melbourne Conservatorium, and and PhD in Music Iconography. Since receiving an Arts Foundation Award for Patronage donation in 2009 from Adrienne, Lady Stewart, Mathieson has served as Assistant Conductor to Marin Alsop at the BBC Last Night of the Proms and Assistant Conductor to Christoph von Dohnanyi with the Philharmonic Orchestra, London. and become Co-Director of the Reuleaux Ensemble.
