Arts Foundation - College of Governors changes — 02.12.10

Lloyd WIlliams will take over as Chair of the Arts Foundation College of Governors from retiring Chair John McCormack. Lloyd will also sit on the Foundation's Board of Trustees.

Dr Lloyd Williams
from Auckland is a highly experienced arts manager, an accomplished musician and a passionate supporter of the arts. Lloyd managed the Auckland Philharmonia, and is now is a member of the executive committee of Arts Advocates in Auckland, Director of the MA programme in Arts Administration at Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design, and a Trustee of the Michael Hill International Violin Competition. Lloyd was awarded his PhD, on the organisational structure of symphony orchestras, in early 2009. He was, until recently, Chair of the Board of SOUNZ (the Centre for New Zealand music).

Jonathan Mane-Wheoki and Lloyd Williams were re-elected at the recent Arts Foundation AGM.
