NZ Arts Month aims to put arts on the national agenda, acknowledging the role creativity plays in the lives of New Zealanders, with a month of conversation dedicated to uncovering what arts mean to Aotearoa. This September tell us what art is to you.
Here’s how you can get involved
There are two ways you can support NZ Arts Month:
Host a conversation about what Art Is in September
This can be a dedicated event, where people gather to talk about the impact arts and creativity has on their lives. Or you can piggy back a conversation about what Art is on an existing event you’re hosting in September.
Either way tell us about your event so we can promote it to our 16,000 + social followers, in our e-newsletters and in our events calendar.
Spread the word
Invite your community to share what Art is to them. Spread the word on your social channels and in your e-newsletters, or hit us up for an info pack below.
People can share what art means to them from September 1 over at www.artsmonth.co.nz look out for ‘art is’ postcards in their local café, gallery, theatre or music venue, or take to those ‘art is’ billboards on the street with their Sharpies.
