All in for Arts He waka toi e eke noa nei tātou – Hakatere Ashburton

This spring, The Arts Foundation Te Tumu Toi is hitting the road with Creative New Zealand Toi Aotearoa, Chartwell Trust, The Lion Foundation, Coffee Supreme and Noble & Savage, visiting 10 centres on the Great New Zealand Arts Journey.

The arts and creativity are offering hope during these times, and right now are making an impact in our homes, schools, towns and cities. That’s why we’re heading to all four corners of Aotearoa listening, gathering and sharing stories of how creativity is making a difference to communities across the country.

We invite you to attend a free breakfast and to hear stories about the impact the arts are having on everyday life in Hakatere Ashburton and illuminate the value of the arts to Aotearoa New Zealand.

Speaker line-up includes:

  • Simon O’Neill, Opera singer and 2005 Arts Foundation Laureate,
  • Matthew Markham, editor of Ashburton Guardian
  • Hannah Kidd, visual artist
  • Kate White, Timebank Canterbury facilitator, Harakeke Marae committee member
  • Councillor Carolyn Cameron, Ashburton District Council

Calling all arts lovers and unlikely arts lovers. Come along and listen to stories from well-known members of your community, share your story and a cuppa. Secure your spot today. Places are limited to 100 (at the moment).
