Tim is an enthusiastic supporter of the creative arts and a thriving civil society. As a junior lawyer he was involved in the establishment of the Arts Foundation Te Tumu Toi in the 1990s and has followed is evolution since then.
Tim is closely involved with the work of Bridget Williams Books (perhaps Aotearoa New Zealand's leading independent publisher) and on the Boards of the Motu Trust and Foundation (perhaps Aotearoa New Zealand's leading independent economic research house). Tim is also on the establishment Board of the Wellington Regional Charity Hospital – He Ringa Awhina.
For his day job, Tim is a partner of the Wellington office of the law firm Russell McVeagh where he has led its Public Law & Policy Team for almost 20 years.
