He didn't say what sort of hat. Just - "I'll be wearing a hat." Enough said. The brown straw fedora - jaunty, 50s cool - was hard to miss.
"It's that shonky Miami Frank Sinatra thing - a certain kind of affectation and a tiny tremor of gravitas. If you get a bunch of people saying, ‘Who are you?' I can say, ‘I'm the man in the hat.'"
