Seung Yul Oh - Harriet Friedlander Residency

Seung Yul Oh was selected as the second recipient of the Harriet Friedlander Residency in 2011.  This video was produced in partnership between the Arts Foundation and TVNZ 7.

Seung Yul Oh is one of the bright talents to have emerged on the New Zealand art scene in the 21st century. His work encompasses a wide range of media, including painting, drawing, sculpture, sound and video.

Supported by the Arts Foundation, the Harriet Friedlander Residency sends an artist to New York for as long as $80,000 will last them.  Harriet Friedlander was a dedicated supporter of the arts and her family has established this residency in her honour.

Inaugural recipient Florian Habicht (film maker) returned from New York in 2010.  He completed a project during his stay that is scheduled for release in 2011.
