TVNZ 7 series featuring Laureates and New Generation artists — 04.05.11

TVNZ 7 screens a series of short programmes created in partnership with the Arts Foundation called ‘The Artists’ screening every day between 8am and midnight for a week

The Arts Foundation and TVNZ 7 are proud to present a series of short programmes on 2010 Arts Foundation Laureate and New Generation artists.  The series called The Artists, began on Friday, 25 March. Screenings are at 9.55pm on Fridays.  Sreening from Friday 6 May is Stuart Devenie.

The Artists featured to date are: Leon Narbey, John Parker, and Michael Parmenter (Laureates) and Mark Albiston, Louis Sutherland , Anna Leese and Ngaahina Hohaia (New Generation artists)

Each subsequent episode will premiere in this slot over the following weeks. After its first play, each episode will then be available for scheduling across TVNZ 7 programming. It will also then be uploaded to TVNZ OnDemand and the Arts Foundation websites.

Friday evenings on TVNZ 7 are now devoted to arts programming:  How To Look At A Painting (with AFNZ Governor Justin Paton) at 9:05p.m., The Good Word at 9:30p.m., The Artists at 9.55pm and Artsville at 10:05p.m.

TVNZ 7 is found on Freeview channel 7 and has recently moved to SKY channel 77.
