Joe Sheehan (New Generation artist) is one of three artists who have been selected as recipients of the 2010/11 Antarctica New Zealand Arts Fellowships.
Joe joins singer Dave Dobbin and photographer Laurence Aberhart. The three will travel to Scott Base, Antarctica, in November this year. The Antarctica New Zealand Arts Fellowship programme seeks to "increase understanding of Antarctica and its international importance through the work of New Zealand's top artists."
Other artists recognised by the Arts Foundation who have participated in this programme include Bill Manhire and Anne Noble.
