Poetry Reading with Jenny Bornholdt
Wednesday 28th July 2010
We are privileged to have Jenny Bornholdt visit us as part of our Poetry Day celebrations. One of New Zealand's first five Poets Laureate, Jenny Bornholdt is a well-regarded poet and anthologist. This visit to Upper Hutt is long overdue!
Hamilton Poster Launch
Friday 30th July 2010
In association with Phantom Posters, celebrities will read poems from the poetry poster campaign by Phantom Posters and then plaster those posters around the central city. Poets whose work appears on the posters include Bill Manhire, Cilla McQueen, Brian Turner, Tusiata Avia and Stephen Oliver. Also keep an eye on the Waikato Times in the week leading up to poetry day for stories on local Waikato poets.
