Michael Parmenter 2010 Laureate

Michael Parmenter was selected as one of five Arts Foundation Laureate artists in 2010.  This video was produced in a partnership between the Arts Foundation and TVNZ 7.

Originally shown at the Laureate Award ceremony, this video has since been included in a series, shown on TVNZ 7, called The Artists.  This series has footage and interviews with the eleven artists celebrated by the Arts Foundation with New Generation and Laureate Awards in 2010.  The Artists went to air on TVNZ 7 in March 2011.

Michael Parmenter is a leading New Zealand Choreographer whose name is synonymous with bold and innovative contemporary dance. He has created some of the most challenging and exciting theatrical works presented in New Zealand.
