thearts.co.nz has been launched to celebrate the Arts Foundation's first decade.

In the early days of planning this site, we met with Jason O'Hara from Origin Design. After showing Jason some of the work of the recipients of our awards, he said "make your site about the artists that you have awarded. Let people search by discipline and visual cues. Give them video, image, audio and word galleries, news and events." And this is what we have done.

Each artist,  who has received an award or been acknowledged by us, has their own landing page on this site. News and events about artists and the Foundation are also featured and are updated regularly. This site is a great resource to find out where and when you can experience some of New Zealand's finest artists.

Video, images, words and audio are uploaded on artist landing pages in regular releases. This is the reason you will always want to come back! 

You can register to recieve e-mail updates with news and events about artists we have recognised.  Most importantly, the Arts Foundation is a place to donate to the arts, whether it's a little or a lot.
